School exhibition
In Bavaria, the all-day school concept is to be introduced in elementary school. In this project, we carried out an intervention with children from the Rotes Tor School, which has an all-day school. The aim was to investigate what is necessary for an all-day school from the children's point of view. The results of the intervention were then evaluated and presented in an exhibition, including in the town hall.

Various animal masks were designed for the intervention "Which animal are you at all-day school?". The children were read a story that assigned different attributes to the animals. They were then asked to choose the animal that best described them and give reasons for their choice.
"I like the owl because it also prefers to be alone and likes to be awake at night. I don't like it when it's so loud."

In the intervention "What does home feel like", the children were given a selection of different materials. From these, they were asked to choose up to six that embodied the feeling of home for them. These materials were placed in the paper suitcase and then an explanation was written.
"The mirror stands for my past and how I learned self-confidence through the mirror."

The aim of both interventions was to find out how comfortable the children felt in the all-day school. We could have asked the children directly, but it is one thing what children say and another thing what they express when you give them a projection surface - like the animal masks or materials. This resulted in profound statements from the children, which were later translated into actionable topics.
